Annabella Zetsch
ACTRESS & STORYTELLER
Annabella grew up in Bautzen, far away from the world of film sets, stages and productions.
No one in her family worked in film or theatre.
And yet, it was her family who encouraged her to turn something she had loved since childhood into her profession.
Growing up, Annabella was fascinated by films. She didn’t just want to watch stories and adventures unfold.
“I didn’t just want to watch the stories. I wanted to be part of them.”
Today, she works as an actress and voice artist.
But that childhood curiosity has stayed with her.
What fascinates Annabella most about acting is understanding people.
What shaped a character?
How do they think?
Why do they behave the way they do?
For her, acting means looking closely, listening and finding a connection between herself and the person she portrays.
“I believe you often get to know people more through their behavior than through what they say.”
Because truly understanding people means looking beyond the surface at what shapes them, moves them and makes them who they are.
Creating Her Own Stories
Annabella doesn’t only step into stories written by others.
She creates her own.
Her second self-produced short film is currently making its way through festivals, while another film featuring Annabella will air on ZDF autumn 2026.
Producing her own projects means taking responsibility for stories that matter to her and creating something from the ground up with others.
“For me, producing means taking responsibility for a story that matters to me.”
Two things have accompanied Annabella almost her entire life: dancing and dogs.
Dancing gives her energy and brings her back to herself.
Daily training with her dog has created a deep connection built on trust and teamwork.
“Dancing brings me back to myself.”
Both give her strength, balance and a sense of grounding.
Real Connections
Maybe that is what connects the different parts of Annabella’s life.
D-Brand & Character
Annabella’s story reflects what D-Brand stands for:“I invest a lot in the things and relationships that mean something to me.”
Character. Authenticity. Connection.
Being curious about the stories behind people.
Having the courage to create your own.
And staying connected to what matters to you along the way.
Because every person has their own story.
And character is what makes it yours.
