The Lowest Point
There was a time when Andreasʼ life was reduced to a single goal:
the next shot of heroin.
Every morning, the focus was clear. There were no boundaries left.
Street. Crime. Prison.
The idea of a normal life seemed unimaginable, and the way back appeared impossible.
Not the problem – the way out
And this is exactly where Andreas differs from many other stories.
He does not see his role as talking about problems.
Not in staying in the pain or dwelling on the past.
His focus is on solutions.
On the question: How do I get out of this?
At a point when he was further away from sport than ever before, Andreas achieved his personal
turning point. Of all things, through one of the toughest sports in the world: the Ironman triathlon.
